Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with Excel, Access, and SQL, plus familiarity with PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
  • Expert in relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Python) and data modeling
  • 1+ year in data warehouse engineering, leveraging business intelligence tools to drive insights
  • Skilled in SQL for data analysis and integrating enterprise software to optimize workflows
  • Experience with reporting, business intelligence tools, or database applications to turn data into actionable insights

Responsibilities

  • Developing and producing both scheduled and ad hoc data extracts and reports
  • Providing key insights to drive smart, data-driven decisions
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design reports, develop insights, and coordinate production schedules
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with broker-dealers, correspondents, and vendors
  • Modeling different loan scenarios, making key business assumptions, and helping guide smart decision-making
  • Maximizing company profits by strategically trading and hedging loans
  • Developing and refining retain/release methodology to optimize outcomes
  • Using historical data to create theoretical hedging and trading scenarios, predicting future trends
  • Crafting daily rate sheets that balance great pricing with minimal risk
  • Performing mortgage servicing rights (MSR) modeling and valuation to manage servicing portfolios and assess asset values
  • Preparing and sharing reports with cross-functional teams to keep everyone in the loop
  • Continuously improving reporting efficiency, ensuring data integrity and presentation quality while staying sharp with reporting tools
  • Gathering, processing, and analyzing historical data from various sources to uncover trends and insights
  • Acting as the bridge between Capital Markets and other teams across the company
  • Spotting errors in the data, digging into the root cause, and helping drive improvements
