Requirements
- 1-2 years of Talent Acquisition or Human Resources experience
- Knowledge in federal and state labor law and regulations
- A good understanding of HR best practices, including recruitment, onboarding, compensation, and employee relations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, attention to detail, time-management, and prioritization skills
- Experience with applicant tracking software or Workday systems
- Knowledge of interviewing and human resources practices & procedures
- High-level proficiency with Outlook & various Microsoft products (especially Word & Excel)
- Basic Workday knowledge
- Motivated self-starter who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and has exceptional follow-through skills
- Flexibility in work hours and availability, especially during major projects
- Always manage and maintain confidentiality with regard to sensitive and confidential information, ensuring it is handled securely and in compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional levels of customer service to employees, managers, business unit leaders, and executives
- Assist with questions and problems courteously and promptly
- Support the HR team with the hiring process, including job descriptions, creation of job requisitions, postings, and screening
- Work closely with the HR Team to facilitate, improve, and coordinate an exceptional onboarding process
- Assist team with program rollouts and trainings (i.e. performance review process, goal setting, employee recognition, career development, etc.)
- Support the HR team with job fairs, orientation, training, etc.
- Assist the HR team with employment engagement events
- Keeps management appropriately informed of activities and of any significant problems
- Performs miscellaneous clerical functions and special projects as assigned
- Prepare correspondence, arrange meetings, process confidential reports and documents
- Work with hiring Directors and Managers to define internship job specifications, post positions, screen candidates and coordinate interviews and own the internship recruiting function from start to finish, working with hiring managers to ensure a smooth process
- Establish professional contacts at universities and colleges & create a pipeline of networking opportunities to determine the best way to source candidates
- Ensure intern engagement and enthusiasm is kept high during each semester with meetups, socials and an end-of-the-semester intern live event
- Assist Festival Payroll Manager with temporary festival workers onboarding tasks, paperwork processing & payroll reports as needed with emphasis during the peak festival season
- Ensure HR documents and communications for employees are kept current in the office and on shared drives
- Keep up to date on current issues and matters related to HR
- Ensure that company procedures are consistent and local legal requirements are met
- Performs other related duties and projects as required and assigned.
