Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of maintenance experience.
- Experience with pneumatic valves and controls.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex automated systems.
- Ability to learn and retain equipment-specific training from manufacturers.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to climb ladders, reach, lift, and work overhead.
- Ability to walk, stand, or sit for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to move equipment and machinery over 40 lbs. when needed.
- Ability to bend, turn, and move freely throughout the plant.
- Ability to tolerate climates ranging from very cold to very hot and from very wet to very dry.
- Ability to communicate and get along with others.
- Ability to comply with OSHA standards and follow safety rules.
Responsibilities
- Solely responsible for the preventive maintenance and rebuild of assigned ACE debone machines, tender/shell belts, butterfly conveyors, skinners, and Sensor X equipment.
- Monitor equipment during production and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Document all corrections made.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment.
- Monitor equipment drives, HMIs, and computer boards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems using detailed schematics, blueprints, and manufacturer’s manuals.
- Repair or replace motors, gearboxes, belts, cylinders, blades, cones, shields, and miscellaneous components.
- Safely replace blades and sharpen as needed.
