Requirements
- A valid (FAA) A&P certificate is Required.
- Army C-12 / King Air 200/350/1900 hands-on A&P mechanic experience is required.
- US Citizenship is Required to obtain a US Gov Secret Security Clearance, and for facility and base access.
- High School degree or equivalent is required.
- A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required; the (A&P) license must show compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.
- AM-1 – A minimum of Two (2) years’ experience as an (FAA) A&P Mechanic is Required; with Two (2) years of specific C-12/King Air hands-on experience preferred.
- AM-2 – A minimum of Five (5) years of (FAA) A&P Mechanic experience required with Five (5) years of specific C-12/King Air hands-on maintenance experience required.
- AM-3 – A minimum of Ten (10) years of (FAA) A&P experience required, with a Minimum of 13 years of specific C-12/King Air hands-on maintenance experience required.
- A valid Driver’s License is required.
- Mechanic Tools are Required; Mechanics must provide their own Tools and Toolbox. Toolbox must be shadowed, each tool to be etched with mechanic PID.
- Must be willing and able to work and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance is Required; US Citizenship is Required to obtain a Secret Security Clearance, and to obtain facility credentials and authorization (CAC) to work at this site and facility.
- Must be able to obtain a Valid US Passport, in the event OCONUS TDY travel is requested or required.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
Responsibilities
- Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.
- These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.
- Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
- Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
- Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.
- Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.
- Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
- Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
- Reads and interprets manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of specific C-12/King Air hands-on experience preferred.
