Requirements
- University degree or College Diploma required.
- Minimum of 5 years of related purchasing or supply management experience at a professional level.
- Broad-based sourcing experience with multiple categories of indirect goods and services.
- Strong understanding of strategic sourcing and cost reduction, including budget analysis, quote analysis, benchmarking, and negotiation.
- Strong communication skills, business acumen, attention to detail, problem solving and the ability to engage and adapt in a fast-paced work environment is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Engages with business partners of the assigned commodities to establish understanding of the commodities and requirements to develop strategic sourcing plans and manage sourcing activities.
- Negotiates for goods and services, with the support of internal departments, ensuring alignment with Nissan’s policies, business specifications and quality for the best value are met.
- Establishes contracts for assigned commodities; maintains purchase orders and related purchasing records; maintains files and records of current and potential suppliers, materials and prices.
- Updates databases and other records related to Purchasing functions to accurately report statuses for assignment activities.
- Communicates with global counterparts to facilitate alignment of purchasing activities.
- Engages in supplier performance and relationship management exercises driving overall value from contracts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Category knowledge in one or more areas of Marketing, Media, Digital Advertising, Print, Events or Financial Services is an asset.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry is preferred.
- Experience with SAP, Zycus, Tableau is an asset.
