Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 6 years of directly related business planning consultation with experience supplying to the development of business strategy short-term and/or long-term goals.
  • Effective facilitation experience to include executive level communication and ability to influence.
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Strong eye for business in financial services or related industry, and a shown ability to balance critical thinking with practical implementation skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, an ability to translate raw information into actionable strategies and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Guides development and coordination of Bank strategy. Works with Bank executive management to establish strategic framework to enable short and long-term business goals and objectives.
  • Identifies and implements specific processes to lead the business strategic and operational planning process.
  • Maintains and aligns business process and frameworks to USAA enterprise strategy process and framework.
  • Builds and maintains Bank specific strategic and operational roadmaps to ensure results are met (current and future).
  • Supports integration of organizational change plans and strategies for large, sophisticated business specific initiatives that align with organizational change practices.
  • Performs primary and secondary research and makes recommendations based on emerging trends, driven threats, business process improvement, and opportunities.
  • Guides team members as they perform research and analysis.
  • Supports Bank executive leadership with the design and coordination of the annual strategic planning and operational planning processes.
  • Assembles key participants and guides and facilitates cross-functional teams in the strategy development and implementation of business solutions.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, supervised, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in financial services.
  • 1-2 years of experience in control monitoring and/or testing.
  • 1-2 years of experience managing financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and allocation.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint design & visual storytelling.
  • Basic understanding of data programs/processes.
  • US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
