Requirements
- Requires a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 4 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the activities with client in relation to opportunity analysis using claims data.
- Determines how decision support systems will provide the data required to make effective business decisions.
- Performs modeling of information sources and flows.
- Coordinates the activities of a project team and monitors project schedules and costs for own projects.
- Develops strategic report applications from the data warehouse.
- Establishes and maintains excellent knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues.
- Develops and supports complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables.
- Programs majority of the time
- Conducts training on use of applications developed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software preferred.
- Ability to manipulate large sets of data preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience with Cloud Technologies like AWS, GCP or Azure preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with ETL Tool: DataStage, SSIS or similar technologies preferred.
- Strong SQL and analytical skills preferred.
- Experience developing APIs preferred.
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing data pipelines in cloud platforms preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of various core AWS services such as IAM, Cloud Formation, EC2, S3, ECS, EMR/Spark, SQS, SNS, Glue suite-ETL job, Data Catalog, Crawler, Data sync, Cloud Health, CloudWatch, Lambda, Athena, Quicksight, DMS and Redshift preferred.
- Experience working with relational databases including Oracle, SQL Server, T-SQL scripts and stored procedures preferred.
- Experience working in event driven architecture preferred.
- Hands-on experience working with JSON and RabbitMQ preferred.
- Experience working with Sybase and MongoDB preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills preferred.
