Requirements

  • University Degree, Engineering Designation both or in combination with experience
  • Minimum 5 years in Energy Storage System industry, or growth orientated business supplying into ESS markets
  • Possession of sales, technical, and business skills to understand the requirements of the market and perform market analysis
  • Selling to and knowledge of markets such as energy storage systems, battery and/or fire protection
  • Exposure to product development, production and delivery
  • Must have a demonstrated history of business development, strong negotiation ability along with a natural flair to work within teams, across business units and foster key customer relationships
  • Detail orientation in both sales reporting, sales analytics, market analysis, market development, and interpretation at the territory level
  • Creative problem solver who brings solutions to the conversation and situation
  • Well-developed communication and influencing skills
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Prospect new business development, customer growth opportunities and market analysis for stationary applications with a focus on Energy Storage Systems (ESS) in N. America, Europe, India, Japan, and S. Korea.
  • Partial involvement in China market working with majority owned Alkegen subsidiary.
  • Identify and determine regulatory requirements, opportunity size, competitive products/companies, and Alkegen’s ability to compete in the market segment
  • Develop/ Model market pricing, and program implementation
  • Create and deliver customer educational experiences focused on growth
  • Develop short- and long-term strategies and plans aligned with corporate goals
  • Understand ESS industry, customer and territory trends related to energy storage systems using lithium-ion or lithium metal battery technologies
  • Use available tools and data to determine course of action within territory based on findings
  • Inspect and monitor market conditions resulting in the development of strategic counter measures
  • Identify customer gaps, concerns and goals that require a total Alkegen solution
  • Work closely with other business partners including customer service, sales, engineering and production
  • Attend and participate at targeted industry trade shows and conferences
  • Manage your business using a hybrid model of both travel to see customers and home office
  • Plan travel up to 50% depending on business requirements and ROI

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience ‘social’ selling, digital promotion, creating presentations and webinars a plus
