Requirements
- Thorough understanding of the local marketplace
- Expertise in distribution, business development, and broker management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to develop and manage local relationships
- Competence in Westchester production and reporting systems
Responsibilities
- Execute sales strategies and tactical priorities to achieve annual objectives
- Supervise, coach, and mentor peers on best practices
- Influence and execute broker management and compensation strategies
- Develop an annual production plan consistent with regional and national plans
- Maintain relationships with Westchester underwriting staff
- Ensure underwriters travel to see brokers and coach them on effective meetings
- Maintain solid product and appetite knowledge across all business units
- Identify competitive threats and vulnerabilities and work with RBDM to address them
- Share feedback on market conditions and competitive positioning
- Identify and onboard new brokers through effective pipelining and territory management
