Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of the local marketplace
  • Expertise in distribution, business development, and broker management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and manage local relationships
  • Competence in Westchester production and reporting systems

Responsibilities

  • Execute sales strategies and tactical priorities to achieve annual objectives
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor peers on best practices
  • Influence and execute broker management and compensation strategies
  • Develop an annual production plan consistent with regional and national plans
  • Maintain relationships with Westchester underwriting staff
  • Ensure underwriters travel to see brokers and coach them on effective meetings
  • Maintain solid product and appetite knowledge across all business units
  • Identify competitive threats and vulnerabilities and work with RBDM to address them
  • Share feedback on market conditions and competitive positioning
  • Identify and onboard new brokers through effective pipelining and territory management
