Requirements
- 5+ years minimum of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or GTM roles, preferably at a high-growth tech company or InsurTech
- BA Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to close complex partnerships and manage stakeholders at all levels
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational instincts, attention to detail, and comfort working with contracts and cross-functional teams
- A passion for building innovative partnerships that drive growth
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-autonomy, collaborative environment—across time zones and evolving priorities
- Ability to work in our NYC office 3 days per week
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Lemonade’s partnership growth strategy across various channels, including pet services, real estate, fintech, retail, and HR tech
- Lead cross-functional partnership initiatives by working closely with internal teams such as R&D, Product, Legal, Finance, and Marketing
- Source, evaluate, and close high-value embedded distribution partnerships that expand access to Lemonade’s core products (Car, Pet, Renters, and Homeowners)
- Own end-to-end business development cycle for your channels—from pitching and negotiation to onboarding and activation
- Act as a thought partner to leadership, delivering actionable insights on trends, whitespace opportunities, and competitive activity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working across multiple verticals or with platform-based distribution models, a strong plus
- Enthusiasm about learning and adapting to the exciting world of AI – a commitment to exploring this field is a fundamental part of our culture
