Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to listen effectively, and solicit input from others
- Strong organizational skills including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization
- Strong interest in the application and research of advanced technology
- Proficiency and knowledge in database and analytic software
- Ability to fit into our culture of growth, innovation, accountability, and adaptability
- Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time with occasional overnight stays
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering, or equivalent required
- 5 years of experience minimum required, 6 preferred, in the building engineering consulting industry
Responsibilities
- Optimize the performance of new and existing buildings through the processes of commissioning (Cx), retro-commissioning studies (RCx), energy audits, monitoring-based commissioning (MBCx), and BAS/metering optimization
- Conduct commissioning tasks: Cx plan, design reviews, Cx spec, pre-functional checklists, functional performance testing, site observations, issues log, Cx report
- Conduct retro-commissioning study and energy audit tasks: collect and review building data and building automation system, site visits, identify energy efficiency measures, estimate savings/costs/incentives, manage utility incentive applications, facilitate implementation, measurement and verification, final report
- Conduct monitoring-based commissioning tasks: collect and review building automation system data, assist in the management of the fault detection and diagnostics platform, identify and discuss issues/faults in building performance, facilitate corrective actions, handle client requests, etc.
- Manage projects and lead client project meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) Preferred
- 6 years of experience preferred in the building engineering consulting industry
