Budget Analyst

Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or another related field.
Three years of related experience

Assist university departments in all aspects of the budgetary process
Preparation of Annual Budget and Legislative Appropriation Request
Monitor and management of current year budgets and actuals
Processing of personnel request as it relates to the impact of the institutions budget and finances
Additional Duties include the preparation of reports, research and assessment of budget issues, conduct training, and provide appropriate guidance on budget matters to various stakeholders.
Judgement/Problem Solving: Identifies problems and analyzes causes, recommends actions after evaluating alternative solutions with follow up to ensure corrections.
Writes reports, letters, and other communicative means
Receptive to feedback and constructive criticism
Accepts Accountability for actions
Development of performance measures
Input, analysis, and coordination of budget information into software system.
Development of long-range financial forecasting model to assist for preparing annual budgets and decision making.
May perform additional duties and projects as requested.
