Requirements
- Level 2 General Insurance License
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Personal Lines (Auto and Habitation)
- Familiarity with Commercial insurance is an asset
- Strong technical understanding of auto insurance including ICBC, Fleets, Prorate, Cargo & replacement cost coverage
- 2+ years of experience as a team lead, supervisor, or in a management role
- Results-driven mindset with a strong sales orientation
- Ability to work collaboratively with direct reports, colleagues, and front-line staff to foster a results-oriented, team-focused environment
- Exceptional client service abilities
- Adaptability and resilience in a changing environment
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple demands
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal, in-person and online)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Completion of industry-related designations (CAIB, CIP, CRM) is a plus
- Fluent in Punjabi or Hindi is an asset
Responsibilities
- Partner with the AVP to develop and execute strategic plans and departmental goals, with a focus on new business acquisition, retention and client experience
- Lead client experience initiatives through proactive outreach and a streamlined service mode
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring, training, and developing team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Support the AVP on forecasting, budgeting, and resource planning
- Ensure consistent adherence to insurer and HUB corporate policies and procedures across the team
- Monitor, analyze and report on key performance indicators, including collecting on account receivables
- Create and implement actionable plans to meet and exceed branch budgets and performance targets
- Develop, implement, and drive sales strategies, including referral programs and inbound upsell initiatives, to enhance revenue growth, client acquisition and cross sell between divisions
- Foster a culture of compliance by embedding regulatory requirements and risk management practices into daily operations
- Provide ongoing leadership support through one-on-one meetings, coaching sessions, career development planning, and proactive succession management
- Collaborate with other business and industry communities to enhance branch’s presence as needed to drive overall success
- Proactively address and resolve escalated service or sales issues, ensuring a high level of client and carrier satisfaction
- Manage branch staffing resources to maintain optimal service levels and adherence to scheduling requirements
- Oversee the administration and processing of team incentive payouts
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
