Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Mutual fund license required depending on region
- Branch Compliance Officer (BCO) for Mutual Funds required depending on region
- Must complete the internal First West certification program specific to this role within the required timeframe
- 6 years experience in a branch leadership level role within a financial institution required
- Sales leadership and coaching experience required
- Demonstrated leadership attributes and/or experience motivating a high-performance team
- Proven ability to develop and execute on strategic sales and service plans
- Proven skills in business development and achievement of sales goals and targets
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with a wide variety of people
- Proficient in computer software programs e.g. Microsoft Office and banking software programs
- Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and direction to branch team
- Develops annual business plan for the branch that aligns with the strategic objectives of First West
- Identifies and develops opportunities to promote the branch and First West within the community
- Oversees all branch credit activities including monitoring, analyzing, pricing, rating, and approving
- Ensures risk management processes and procedures are followed to manage fraud, reduce potential losses and meet regulatory and/or corporate requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- PFP preferred
- Commercial banking experience preferred
- Credit adjudication experience preferred
