Requirements
- 3+ years of work experience in financial services, consulting, accounting or other relevant exposure.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, financial modeling, and performance analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment while managing multiple projects.
- Self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and responsiveness.
- A hands-on approach to executing strategy with portfolio companies.
- Professionalism and credibility to engage effectively with senior board members and portfolio company management.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of asset management plans to optimize performance of BIP’s portfolio companies.
- Collaborate with investor relations to draft communications, providing insights and updates on portfolio company performance that will be shared across the business and limited partners.
- Onboard investments and monitor portfolio companies in collaboration with the BIP deal team, Finance, Legal & Compliance, and Portfolio Operations.
- Participate in specific strategic initiatives, refinancing activities, and management evaluations, to enhance value for portfolio companies.
- Manage portfolio reporting activities, including preparing and presenting materials to Blackstone leadership.
- Research industry trends, market developments, and macroeconomic factors, assess their impact on portfolio companies and highlight relevant insights for investors.
- Work on cross-business initiatives to drive value across portfolio.
- Manage consultants and other third parties during due diligence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to energy, transportation, real estate, telecommunications, or other asset-intensive businesses is preferred, but not required.
