Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience originating, underwriting, structuring and closing syndicated leveraged loan and other bespoke financing solutions to support leveraged buyouts, M&A, recapitalizations, and other corporate transactions at private equity backed and other non-sponsored corporate borrowers.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience analyzing, evaluating and structuring 1st Lien & 2nd Lien leveraged loan credit documentation (predominantly credit agreements & commitment letters).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting due diligence on businesses across a wide range of industries (including technology, consumer, financial services, healthcare and industrials) in order to assess credit risk.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience creating and presenting internal credit approval memos summarizing leveraged finance transactions and providing recommendations to internal risk committees.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience running leveraged loan and high-yield bond syndication processes with key responsibilities including drafting rating agency/investor presentations (in consultation with company management teams) and conducting diligence calls with credit investors.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using Microsoft Excel to build detailed dynamic financial models and cash flow analyses.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word to develop internal and external presentation materials.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using a range of third-party data sources to analyze credit market trends and borrower fundamentals including FactSet, Pitchbook, Bloomberg, LCD (Leverage Commentary & Data), S&P Ratings, Moody’s Ratings.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of the investment process using quantitative and qualitative skills to assess a wide range of industries and investment types.
- Conduct financial and competitive analysis to identify investment merits and key risks during the due diligence process.
- Provide and execute private investment capital transactions to upper middle market companies and private equity sponsors in connection with leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, growth financings, and other corporate transactions.
- Implement a flexible approach when structuring investments, such as senior debt (secured and unsecured), subordinated debt, preferred stock and/or private equity capital structures.
- Conduct industry research regularly by diligently monitoring companies including recent news, quarterly/annual financial statements, ratings changes, amendments and waivers.
- Meet and interact with management teams to ensure targets and metrics are properly established and met.
- Undertake numerous projects at a time given the lean size of various private investment teams.
- Perform other duties as needed.
