Requirements

  • Associates degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics or a minimum of five years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of patient medical devices
  • Two years of Biomedical Engineering experience or internship
  • 2-3 years’ experience in biomedical engineering, clinical engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with asset management systems or databases
  • Experience in data analysis and report creation, within a healthcare or biomedical setting
  • Able to spot trends and group medical devices into relevant ECRI categories
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in biomedical and clinical engineering

Responsibilities

  • Extract and analyze data from the asset database to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement
  • Develop detailed reports that summarize findings, including visualizations such as charts and graphs to effectively communicate data insights
  • Present reports to stakeholders, including management, clinical staff, and other relevant parties, ensuring clarity and actionable recommendations
  • Monitor and maintain the asset database, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Work closely with other departments to gather necessary data and ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance data reporting and asset management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, clinical engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g. Power BI, SQL, Tableau)
  • Knowledge of data design, architecture, and relational databases
