Requirements
- Associates degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics or a minimum of five years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of patient medical devices
- Two years of Biomedical Engineering experience or internship
- 2-3 years’ experience in biomedical engineering, clinical engineering, or a related field
- Experience with asset management systems or databases
- Experience in data analysis and report creation, within a healthcare or biomedical setting
- Able to spot trends and group medical devices into relevant ECRI categories
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in biomedical and clinical engineering
Responsibilities
- Extract and analyze data from the asset database to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement
- Develop detailed reports that summarize findings, including visualizations such as charts and graphs to effectively communicate data insights
- Present reports to stakeholders, including management, clinical staff, and other relevant parties, ensuring clarity and actionable recommendations
- Monitor and maintain the asset database, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Work closely with other departments to gather necessary data and ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance data reporting and asset management
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, clinical engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g. Power BI, SQL, Tableau)
- Knowledge of data design, architecture, and relational databases
