Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a biological science field
- 0-3 years of practical experience in molecular biology
- Practical knowledge of nucleic acid-based assay design, development, optimization, and reagent production
- Demonstrated ability to perform competent work in a BSL-2 clean laboratory
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in reagent production under an ISO 17034/17025 or similar Quality Management System
- Must currently possess or be able to pass all criteria for a Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Supports research and development, reagent production and quality management of molecular diagnostics
- Production of real-time polymerase chain reaction assays
- Molecular assay development and platform test and evaluation
- Provide and evaluate proficiency testing for biological threats
- Laboratory and field support for biological threat agent detection
