Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or revenue operations, ideally within a SaaS or tech company.
- Strong proficiency in Stripe or similar billing platforms, with an understanding of payment processing workflows.
- Working knowledge of revenue recognition principles and invoice lifecycle management.
- High attention to detail and a track record of delivering accurate, timely work.
- Experience collaborating across departments, especially with Finance, Sales, and Customer Success.
- Familiarity with CRM and accounting tools such as HubSpot, QuickBooks, Stripe, and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain billing processes and resolve issues clearly.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end billing cycle.
- Working cross-functionally with Finance, Revenue Operations, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing, payments, and revenue recognition.
- Managing billing operations through Stripe.
- Investigating and resolving invoicing discrepancies.
- Contributing to the improvement of billing-related processes and systems.
- Generating and issuing invoices.
- Validating and reconciling billing data.
- Responding to internal and external billing inquiries.
- Supporting financial audits, month-end close procedures, and documentation of billing workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth company.
- Exposure to sales-to-cash processes, including quoting, subscriptions, and customer agreements.
- Understanding of SaaS metrics and the customer billing lifecycle.
- Ability to identify opportunities for automation or system improvement.
