BIA Data Analytics Lead

Proven expertise in data analysis and modeling using tools such as SQL, Python, or equivalents
Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions
Exceptional communication skills for explaining complex concepts to non-technical audiences

Audit development and delivery support, including financial statements, accounting practices, operational processes, IT systems and risk management
Identification of operational risks to support the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Audit Plan through risk assessments
Assessment of internal control effectiveness and their capability to identify and mitigate risk aligned to regulatory requirements
Communication of key findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including the Audit Owner, senior managers and directors
Identification of regulatory news and industry trends/developments to provide timely insight and recommendations for best practice
Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda
Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does
Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies
Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives
Seek out, build and maintain trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish key business objectives

Experience managing teams of analysts or technologists and delivering high-quality outcomes
Familiarity with audit functions and/or financial services is preferred
Ability to develop and implement automation tools, leveraging emerging analytics technologies
