Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in employee benefits
  • Strategic vendor management experience
  • Experience with budget management and financial analysis
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex data; including ability to collaborate with finance and actuarial teams on budgeting and forecasting
  • Experienced in developing communication strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and identifying trends though data analysis
  • Strong verbal, written communication and executive-level presentation skills
  • Ability to work as a team player and influence cross divisional teams as well as internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Manage the administration of the US Benefit Program
  • Develop and implement short and long-term benefit strategies to meet business objectives and employee needs
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to inform benefits decisions, including plan design
  • Develop strategies to manage plan costs, improve health of population, and define the employee experience to provide competitive benefits and comply with health care reform regulations
  • Provide guidance and direction to external vendors including consultants, insurance carriers, and other program providers to manage vendor performance, align on strategic priorities, and measure clinical and financial outcomes in line with stated strategies and objectives
  • Monitor, scorecard and identify drivers of medical trends to identify opportunities price, utilization and benefit management opportunities
  • Support the development and monitoring of U.S. group insurance plan expense, compliance and governance processes
  • Track and analyze program metrics, including participation rates, employee engagement, and return of investment
  • Use data insights to inform program development and make recommendations for improvement
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional partners to ensure health and wellbeing programs meet business needs
  • Partner with external organizations and industry experts to stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends
  • Consult as a subject matter expert on complex projects
  • Manage budgets related to benefit programs and services
  • Ensure effective use of resources and optimize program spend
