Base Supervisor

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and simple diagrams
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
• Flexible travel schedule – (Up to 25% work week and sometimes weekends)
• Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself – Required
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance of UPS facilities and systems via both UPS Mechanic Teams and Outside Service Contractors.
• Communicates assigned work status to colleagues to determine potential impact on the department’s schedule.
• Delivers required regulatory training (e.g., Lockout Training/Hazmat Training) as directed to BaSE and non-BaSE personnel.
• Inspects facilities, systems and projects to ensure safety, environmental and contract compliance.
• Monitors building appearance and housekeeping operations.
• Develops projects from concept to completion to meet operational/district requirements while maintaining control of project expenditures to avoid cost overruns.
• Assists with maintaining environmental compliance in accordance with UPS environmental programs (e.g., Storm Water, Clean Air, Hazardous Materials, etc.) to promote the environment and health and safety of UPS workers and the surrounding community.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in Engineering – Preferred.
• Programming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting – Preferred.
