Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the aerospace industry.
  • 2+ years of experience in management or lead engineer role on a project or team.

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Flight Engineering.
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial aircraft system design, analysis, and certification.
  • Proven ability to lead with the Boeing Values.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of innovative solutions in engineering challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability in team building, coaching, and employee development to enhance team performance and engagement.
  • Project management or similar experience planning, integrating, and executing project or program deliverables.
