Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 5+ years of professional experience in the aerospace industry.
- 2+ years of experience in management or lead engineer role on a project or team.
Responsibilities
- Manages employees and first-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Flight Engineering.
- Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
- Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial aircraft system design, analysis, and certification.
- Proven ability to lead with the Boeing Values.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of innovative solutions in engineering challenges.
- Demonstrated ability in team building, coaching, and employee development to enhance team performance and engagement.
- Project management or similar experience planning, integrating, and executing project or program deliverables.
