Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Data Science or similar fields and 4 years of IT experience; or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years of IT experience
  • 3+ years of machine learning experience including the ability to conduct gradient boosting, neural network, random forest and other innovative techniques
  • 4+ years of experience with Cloud infrastructure (Data and Database architecture)
  • Experience with vendor management and good understanding of key Data service providers
  • 4+ years experience with managing impact of compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Management of processes related to technologies in big data environments such as Data Warehouse, Data Lake, AWS (Amazon Web Services) Cloud, Abinito, Database technologies, processes for managing data, Business Objects, Tableau and Anaconda.
  • Manage processes related to data, performance, and availability in a cloud-based environment.
  • Interface with Senior and Executive Leaders within the data organization and across the company.
  • Identify and implement automation solutions for operational purposes in AWS.
  • Manage resources, processes, and vendor management, as required.
  • Ticket efficiency, escalation management and overall improving customer service to the business.
  • Oversight of Incident, Event, & Problem Management processes, Capacity & Performance Management.
  • Drive process improvements.
  • Partner with Data Platform and Engineering teams to ensure effective transition to support.
  • Partner with Data Quality teams to ensure usability of all data products.
  • Drive issues through closure by engaging all appropriate resources.
  • Monitor technologies to ensure they are always available and functional.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
