Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a fulltime Life Insurance Medical Director
- Board Certified in Insurance Medicine
- Active membership in American Academy of Insurance Medicine and continue medical education
- Possess a current medical license to practice medicine in the USA
- Comfortable working in an onsite or remote environment, developing and maintaining relationships across other corporate departments such as actuarial, claims and structured settlements
Responsibilities
- Provide consultative expertise to underwriting staff on mortality and morbidity questions
- Participate in mortality and morbidity research that will inform underwriting guidelines
- Display superb ability to teach medical topics with effective PowerPoint presentations
- Assist in project work that may involve data analysis and presenting results to Senior Leadership and Risk Management Committee
