Requirements

  • 10+ years minimum experience in federal sales DOD, Intelligence, Civilian government sectors, with a focus on cybersecurity software solutions.
  • 3+ years as a leader of a high performing Federal Sales team
  • Cybersecurity/ Identity Industry background required.
  • Start up experience and/or experience building and leading new teams in a high growth, fast paced environment required
  • Understanding of the information security channel network of partners. Semperis is 100% Channel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the federal sector.
  • Strong sales methodology and forecasting skills (MEDDPICC, etc)
  • Deep understanding of federal procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior government officials and key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed is required

Responsibilities

  • Identify target agencies and key opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Work with Federal focused VARs, distributors and SIs to develop relationships and commitment for mutual business development
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and federal procurement policies to adjust strategies as needed.
  • Lead, recruit and mentor a high performing team
  • Drive overall Federal business strategy including analyzing market opportunity, and leading the go-to-market planning
  • Meet and exceed federal sales revenue targets.
  • Attract top talent and build the sales organization to achieve growth goals
  • Provide accurate weekly forecasts to senior management while monitoring all metrics to assure the team meets both sales and key selling objectives.
  • Be deeply involved in the team’s complex deals to help negotiate and close in a timely manner.
  • Build strong internal collaborative relationships with business development, marketing, channel, technical, and product teams.
