Requirements
- Proficiency with environmental test equipment including thermal chambers, vibration systems, and shock tables
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with CAD software for fixture design (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Knowledge of materials science and material selection for test fixtures
- Understanding of instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and test automation
Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive EMC/EMI/Environmental test campaigns per MIL-STD-810H and RTCA DO-160G standards at ISO/IEC 17025 accredited third-party test facilities
- Design and develop custom test fixtures for drone components and assemblies for environmental chambers, vibration tables, and shock testing equipment. Ensure test fixtures meet safety requirements and provide accurate, repeatable test results
- Recommend improvements to testing processes and procedures
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Willingness to travel to third-party test facilities (up to 20%)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with military/aerospace testing standards, such as MIL-STD-461/464, MIL-STD-810 and RTCA DO-160
- Experience with environmental test lab accreditation processes
- Project management experience
