Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years in a Sales Leadership role)
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience selling product, services, parts, and/or solutions

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for selling product(s), services, parts, solutions, or projects in the Avionics product line of GE Aerospace within the Americas geographic area
  • Demonstrate solid business acumen in shaping new opportunities expertise across customer groups (both defense and commercial). Influences acquisition policy and ensures delivery across large and/or diverse sales territories
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
  • Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process
  • Leads others to find creative solutions to address complex projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers
  • Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis
  • Provide leadership and manage sales professionals
  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
  • Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view
  • Influences others to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with direct-to-OEM sales
  • Experience with direct-to-government sales
  • Familiar with DFAR
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute sales transaction / capture of business opportunities
  • Willingness to ideate with product line on go to market strategy, new product developments, changing customer and competitor landscape.
  • Inform those ideas with data gathered either from sales team or first-hand customer/competitor engagements.
