Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
- Previous automotive industry accounting experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a similar field. MBA or CPA a plus.
- Self-starter motivated by results and a problem solver.
- Demonstrated success building consensus, coaching, and working in a team environment.
- Previous audit and management accounting experience.
- Ability to understand and interpret financial statements.
- Ability to complete multiple projects on time with varying timelines and priorities.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Comfortable with operating multiple application systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to local franchises in all aspects of accounting and finance.
- Lead in the preparation of selected manufacturer financials statements and assists the broader accounting department with the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Manage titling and registration of newly acquired vehicles.
- Prepare dealer financial statement(s) in coordination with general accounting group.
- Oversee Courtesy Vehicle Program (loaner fleet) and manufacturer incentive programs.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliation schedules and operational reports.
- Assist team and dealerships in developing and implementing financial discipline, expense control and optimization.
- Work with executive management to track, report and collect manufacturer programs and performance incentives.
- Assist with financing audits, development and audit reconciliation of inventory and sales.
- Maximize cash-flow by assisting with line-of-credit management.
- Assist with process development/modification and technology deployment to improve overall efficiency.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Reynolds and Reynolds experience strongly preferred
- MBA or CPA a plus
- Some domestic travel may be required.
