Requirements
- five or more years of industry experience
- Journeyman Electrician or Instrument Tech preferred
- maintenance experience with well sites, compression and processing desired
- strong organizational and communication skills are required
- strong team player with the ability to work independently
- proficient in use and application of PCs and PC programs including Microsoft Office Suite
- valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Safety-sensitive position subject to random drug and alcohol screening.
Responsibilities
- maintain, configure and commission a variety of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
- familiarity of AER/OGC measurement requirements for RTU and SCADA
- assist with area SCADA Radio/cell architecture, design and support
- understand and perform safety responsibilities such as hazard identification and emergency response
- understand oil and gas facilities for production, compression, water disposal, liquid/gas processing and artificial lift
- read and understand Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs), Shutdown Key (SDK) documentation and Input/Output (I/O) layouts, panel wiring diagrams
- understand the wiring and capabilities of process end devices (transmitters, pumps, valves, etc.)
- understand PID control and perform associated configuration (includes control element selection, loop tuning, etc.)
- ability to work with operations teams and perform approved associated MOCs
- configure Modbus communications in a variety of devices for communications and control
- understand and configure HMI integration to various RTUs, PLCs and other Control Devices
- Enterprise SCADA System Support and Troubleshooting
- communications issues/service failures/client access issues/hardware failures/operating system failures
- understand interfaces to other measurement, corporate and accounting systems (PI, FlowCal etc.)
- ensure ongoing performance improvement including job progression, site-specific training, process training
- complete corrective work orders to repair/resolve faulty equipment affecting safety or environmental systems
- demonstrate a consultative approach with members of the construction, operations and maintenance E&I staff, Technical Services (this includes internal and external Engineering support)
- quickly adapt to changing priorities and requirements
- maintain a high level of communication with all stakeholders related to projects, timelines and priorities
- ability to be available for an on-call schedule; weekends and holidays included
- some work in camp locations may be required
