Requirements
- Required master’s degree Arts or Science with a major in Audiology
- CRT-Clinical Competency in Audiology Certification (CCC-A) – ASHA American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Upon Hire required
- LIC-Audiologist – STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
- 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical office setting with adult and pediatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Administer and interpret with written report, full complement of audiometric testing including pure tone, tympanometry, acoustic reflexes, otoacoustic emissions, speech reception and discrimination, electronystagmography/video nystagmography, and auditory evoked potentials (with and without anesthesia).
- Maintain State of Michigan Newborn hearing screening programs; and submit hearing screening results.
- Assist in developing new clinical procedures for the department.
- Maintaining testing equipment – trouble shooting as needed and maintain supplies.
- Maintains policy and procedures and provides continuing education and training to new staff and students.
