Requirements
- Designing, editing, mixing, mastering and implementing content for interactive and linear media under tight deadlines
- Strong core competency in at least one major DAW with solid audio engineering knowledge focused on Foley and field recording techniques
- Familiarity with VO recording, editing, and processing techniques
- Highly self-motivated with strong communication and organizational skills; able to manage tasks and priorities independently
- Experience with Unreal, Unity and/or proprietary game engines, including scripting, level editor, animation and linear editors
- Experience with audio middleware and implementing audio assets into game builds
- Able to collaborate across disciplines to create effective audio
- Ability to design and implement audio scripting to achieve desired in-game audio features and dynamic playback
- Able to troubleshoot audio issues, as well as optimize and meet memory budget and performance requirements across multiple platforms
Responsibilities
- Create and implement audio assets for various key Fortnite assets at a high quality
- Work closely with audio, art, and design teams to troubleshoot and implement solutions
- Utilize UE5 blueprints, MetaSounds and data assets to hook up and test audio assets
- Evaluate audio mix and implementation of audio assets in-game, and adjust according to standards and gameplay needs
- Manage and prioritize assigned tasks, with a focus on achieving goals on schedule
- Have extensive knowledge of field recording techniques and available sound libraries
