Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Economics, or Science field or equivalent experience
  • 2 years experience in tactical sourcing/procurement
  • Strong purchase order lifecycle skills, price/cost analysis, and logistics process
  • Proactively identifies, analyzes, addresses, and resolves problem areas, conflicts, and issues
  • Proven communication and organizational skills enabling teamwork and consensus-building
  • Experience in supporting cross functional teams
  • Able to travel around 10% at a time
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Responsibilities

  • Orders materials and supplies efficiently for prototype builds required to support product development projects, along with ensuring said materials and supplies are ordered accurately and arrive in a timely manner prior to scheduled installation
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings necessary to coordinate and manage updates with the procurement department
  • Monitor status and expedite completion of various activities to assure that the Procurement and Supply organization is supporting projecting timing, material cost objectives and Gate Review deliverables
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its lifecycle to procurement management and cross-functional management teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional working relationships with builders, vendors, subordinates, and co-workers
  • Experience with innovation projects for electronics, project commercialization, stage gate methodology and business execution projects
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure adequate tracking systems are utilized to maintain and track all required information associated with the ordering and production process
  • Strong capabilities in the use of MS-Excel, ERP Systems, MS-Work, MS-Access, MS-PowerPoint, and MS-Project applications
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus (many suppliers and team members are in Mexico and the U.S., so bilingual ability is helpful for communication)
