Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience in a network engineering role
  • A degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
  • IT experience in a technical and analytical role
  • Familiarity with various operating system command line tools including Linux and Windows
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with enterprise firewall administration, and deployment
  • Knowledge of enterprise IP Address Management (DHCP/DNS/IPAM)
  • Routing and switching protocol knowledge and experience
  • Experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting site-to-site and remote access VPNs
  • Familiarity with network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Python, Ansible, or Terraform
  • Understanding of cloud-native networking and hybrid cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Detail oriented with superb interpersonal skills to present thoughts and ideas to partners
  • A self-starter, who embraces change, is intellectually curious and not afraid to ask ‘why’ and ‘what if’

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other network engineers to maintain the network infrastructure for our global enterprise
  • Design, deploy, and maintain critical network solutions including LAN, WAN, wireless, remote access, and firewalls with a focus on scalability, automation, and cloud integration
  • Participate in product evaluation, selection, and deployment of emerging technologies and transformative technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, SASE, Zero Trust)
  • Drive innovation by bringing forward thoughtful, automation-driven network infrastructure solutions
  • Share your creative mind, and collaborate with teammates, business owners, enterprise architects, developers, service providers, and management
  • Research emerging network technology, applications, and integration to continuously modernize and optimize the network infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network requests, implementation, and network security transformation initiatives
  • Address raised network issues and outages by participating in a rotating on-call schedule and problem management process

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Palo Alto firewall administration
  • Understanding of network automation frameworks, APIs, and DevOps workflows
  • Cisco wireless, routing, and switching experience including Wireless Lan Controllers, IOS-XE, and/or NX-OS
  • Exposure to Software Defined Networking (ex. Cisco ACI, Cisco SD-Access, and/or Cisco SD-WAN)
  • Demonstrate effective approach to network and system troubleshooting
  • Understanding of security-first design principles and compliance-driven network architecture
