Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.
Responsibilities
- Use and update existing navigation models and simulation tools to: Predict navigation performance and develop navigation algorithms
- Develop test program and utilizing data to improve navigation models and system performance (Navigation models include: GPS, IMU (Accelerometers and Gyroscopes), magnetometers, and other navigation sources)
- Support evaluation of new navigation sensors (prepare and conduct van tests, lab tests and review collected data)
- Support flight testing to: Measure/validate navigation performance relative to design requirements and Troubleshoot operational/service anomalies regarding delivered products
- Collects and analyzes data on supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements
- Supports project management by preparing and presenting project status data
- Writes simple sections of proposals to support development of new business
- Works under general supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with common programming languages
- Experience with developing or using modeling and simulation tools
- Knowledge of estimation theory (e.g. Kalman filtering)
- Knowledge of GPS receiver operation
- Knowledge of inertial navigation
