Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/finance or related discipline
  • 5+ years OTC experience gained in Middle/Back Office Operations or Accounting working for an Investment Bank, Prime Broker, Administrator, Investment Advisor or Financial/Retirement Planner.
  • High proficiency in Credit, Interest, Equity and Exotic OTC products and current legislation a must
  • Middle/Back office experience covering trade processing, collateral, confirmations, settlements, cash, position and trade reconciliations
  • Prior experience to Equities, Fixed Income, Futures, FX, and Options in addition to OTC a strong plus
  • Prior experience with Credit, Interest and Equity Derivatives a must
  • Working knowledge of corporate actions
  • Proven track record in client servicing.
  • Prior supervisory experience a must.
  • Ability to delegate effectively.
  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating overall work plan for US client service group operations staff, which includes managing and monitoring work in progress
  • Working closely with India operations managers to ensure that both locations are aligned at all times
  • Providing coaching, training and leadership as necessary to the client service team
  • Performing regular review of MIS to monitor breaks and perform root cause analysis.
  • Acting as liaison between client and prime brokers and counterparts to facilitate break resolution when required
  • Contributing to internal project initiatives regarding new product development, testing and implementation
  • Overall client satisfaction including acting as the senior client relationship manager, ensuring there is a good dialogue between client and team and clients are kept abreast of internal changes and new initiatives
  • Working closely with the Implementations department to ensure all new clients operations capabilities (setups, reorgs, conversions) are launched successfully and in a timely manner
  • Providing technical operations/industry knowledge to clients
  • Day to day interaction with other departments to prevent/resolve issues
  • Producing and collating management information statistics
