Requirements
- BSCE and coursework that supports transportation related projects including roadway, drainage, and traffic engineering.
- CADD experience (preferably MicroStation) and ability to learn new software.
- 0 to 3 years of related experience post-graduation.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of plans, sketches, and details for transportation projects primarily involving roadways utilizing CADD and other technical tools.
- Assist with engineering calculations, material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Assist with the preparation of design, drainage, traffic, crash, and other technical reports including report text, exhibits, and other investigations.
- Provide input and technical knowledge to support other staff working on the same project including interaction with all levels of design professionals and disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Transportation engineering experience gained through an internship
- EIT or the desire and ability to obtain it within 6 months
- Good interpersonal skills and desire to work with a team of technical experts.
- Technical accuracy and desire to continually improve skills.
