Requirements
- 1 year of relevant experience with application and software development (within or outside Salesforce ecosystem)
- Elemental experience with Salesforce Ecosystem systems and best practices.
- 1 year of experience with Apex, and the Lightning Component Framework.
- Basic experience developing Lightning Web Components.
- Basic experience working with Salesforce APIs and Web Services (REST, SOAP) integrations.
- Basic experience with Process Automation, Flow and other declarative Salesforce customization and configuration tools.
- Basic experience working using Agile methodologies.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Adequate troubleshooting skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Entry-level knowledge of all levels of the SDLC and all testing phases
- Working knowledge of using modern IDEs (VSCode, IntelliJ) and Source Control tools (Git, SVN)
- Basic understanding of relational databases.
- Entry-level experience working with and writing intermediate to advanced queries in relational databases (SOQL, SQL, Postgres, Oracle, etc.)

Responsibilities
- Contribute to developing, designing, and configuring the UNLV Salesforce organization to effectively support business processes leveraging Salesforce best practices and alignment with overall sales and service requirements.
- Build Salesforce applications using Apex and Lightning Component Framework and leverage the full capabilities of the Salesforce platform to support the university’s programs.
- Apply best practices and design patterns of best-of-breed applications developed on the Salesforce.com platform.
- Develop proofs of concept (POC) as needed, integrating new components with back-office systems during the design and requirements phase to evaluate products and integration strategies.
- Assist in creating testing and implementation plans, including user training and documentation.
- Remain current with Salesforce technologies and best practices.
- Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects encountered during different stages of project delivery, including during the deployment and implementation of the solution in production environments.
- Interact directly with customer, project team, and other stakeholders to ensure customer success.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a higher education environment; particularly in a 4-year, large public R1 university is preferred.
- Salesforce Platform Developer 1 and Salesforce App Builder certifications are preferred.
- Some experience with the greater Force.com developer toolkit (Visualforce, Force.com IDE, Workbench, Force.com Migration Tool and Metadata APIs)
- Basic knowledge of Agile Accelerator, Jira, or Confluence to project manage.
- Entry-level experience developing Lightning Components (Aura) and/or Lightning Web Components.
- Basic knowledge of and experience with CI/CD methodologies and specifically, the Gitlab/Salesforce CI/CD pipeline setup and configuration
- Some experience with or exposure to experience with the Education Data Architecture (EDA) and Student Success Hub (SSH) managed Salesforce packages and/or Salesforce Education Cloud.
- Experience in a higher education environment; particularly in a 4-year, large public R1 university, along with 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
