Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with management consulting, analytics, strategy, leadership, or other related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a Supply Chain related field
- Strategic mindset and strong analytical skills
- Problem Solving: Aptitude to quickly understand and apply economic/business principles, recognize subtleties of complex problems, and develop innovative solutions driven or supported by data
- Modeling: Ability to work with multiple sources of (often finance-related) data, integrating fact-bases and assumptions to develop complex financial and operational models
- Technical: Advanced experience working with Microsoft Excel (VBA preferred; ability with pivot tables, arrays, and nested-formulas strongly desired) and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Project Management experience
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to provide structured thinking to deconstruct complex problems and help advance strategic initiatives with data-driven solutions
- Demonstrated capability in managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering against tight deadlines
- Superior negotiation and persuasion skills
- Previous experience managing teams of cross-functional high-aptitude professionals
Responsibilities
- Lead small teams across a wide array of projects to craft actionable, innovative recommendations for AT&T’s senior leadership
- Drive thought leadership and strategic analysis on fast-paced, complex opportunities and challenges facing AT&T’s Wireline Transformation and Supply Chain organization
- Provide fact-based negotiation support, including industry analytics, competitive event strategy, and ‘should cost’ negotiation benchmarking
- Conduct best-in-class market intelligence efforts including M&A monitoring, supplier financial health assessments, and supply chain visibility
- Develop creative, strategic solutions to drive meaningful transformation for AT&T’s operations and cost structure
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or another highly strategic/analytical role; ideally with exposure to the telecommunications or technology industries
- Exposure to software, mechanical, and electrical engineering concepts
- MBA preferred
- Strong understanding of applied statistics
- Practical experience building financial, statistical, and other analytical models to evaluate complex data
- Experience reverse engineering hardware or firmware; software sizing or code estimation
- Experience managing relationships and interacting with various vendors active in the telecommunications space
