Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience developing and maintaining scalable cloud-based software applications, especially in a scientific domain
- Experience with various web development languages and frameworks, including Javascript/Typescript, Python, Angular, NestJS, NodeJS, or similar
- Strong understanding of how technology can enhance and automate scientific processes
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, deployment, and maintenance operations of cloud-based (AWS) scientific software systems, as well as integrations with third-party systems.
- Act as the primary liaison between the CMC/Technical Development leadership and engineering teams.
- Manage and mentor teams of engineers.
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for engineering initiatives that align with business objectives.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of internally-developed systems.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the CMC/Technical Development engineering teams.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive future engineering initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with leading one or more engineering teams responsible for developing and maintaining scientific software applications
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change in a complex and dynamic environment.
