Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or other related field
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in project/program management, manufacturing operations, engineering, and/or continuous improvement roles
  • 5 plus years leadership experience managing large programs, multiple projects, and/or teams, preferably in a global setting

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive a portfolio of cost-reduction and efficiency projects from inception to completion in alignment with strategic business objectives
  • With plant and CI leadership, prioritize the portfolio of projects to improve the business impact through allocation of budget and resources
  • Lead and oversee large-scale sustaining engineering projects, implementing best-in-class program management methodologies
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, and Quality teams to optimize processes and reduce costs
  • Maintain the project status, timing, financial impact and benefits of all projects in the GPTF-Ops Optimization portfolio
  • Establish and maintain program governance, reporting, and financial tracking to ensure measurable benefits
  • Applies and enforces phase-gate approach for projects and ensures appropriate rigor at each phase exit
  • Ensures timely and accurate financial projections and reporting of actual benefits through partnership with Finance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, using lean methodologies, automation, and waste reduction strategies
  • Monitor and complete operations optimization projects including: Kaizens, Shingijutsu-Kaizens, Scrap Reduction, OEE Improvements, waste reduction and other efficiency and cost improvements
  • Act as a champion for operational agility, overcoming barriers to change and fostering a culture of innovation
  • Demonstrate servant leadership, learning agility and action orientation when facing uncertainty
  • Develop tools, processes, and training programs to enhance project management excellence within the ISC PMO
  • Provides coaching and mentorship to more junior associates

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical device or related industries is required including experience in FDA or other regulated environments
  • Advanced business or technical degree
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • PMP, Agile, or other project management trained or certified
