Requirements

  • Public Health Degree /Life Sciences Degree / Economics Degree / Finance Degree
  • 5+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related access organization e.g. Public Health NGOs, Governmental Bodies etc.
  • In-depth and current understanding of global payer environment, including coverage and reimbursement decision-making processes, pricing and contracting strategies, formulary management, health technology assessment processes, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to tailor messaging to range of stakeholders
  • Solid analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to think through different scenarios, rigorously analyze each one and make specific recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead cross-functional teams, influencing without direct authority, with the interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and succeed in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Strong enthusiasm with a drive to succeed and the ability to work independently
  • Project management skills with ability to work on numerous projects in parallel
  • Display solid ethics.
  • Domestic or international travel will be required, approx. 10-20% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead the creation and refresh of compelling, evidence-based value materials addressing access challenges for payers and policymakers.
  • Maintain the Global Value Dossier, ensuring alignment with payer and NITAG Health Technology Assessment (HTA) requirements through cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder input, and LOC rollout with training.
  • Create and update the Payer Value Deck for external presentations, tailored for national and subnational payers, with cross-functional review and LOC training.
  • Lead the Objection Handler development to support LOC engagements with payers and policymakers, incorporating stakeholder input for key topics, with frequent updates and LOC training.
  • Drive digitalization of payer tools to enhance long-term efficiency, sustainability, and material accessibility, including leading the digital repository platform and supporting digital training for LOC and regional teams.
  • Develop an external digital platform to deliver engaging content for policymakers and payers.
  • Create innovative, accessible communication mediums and messaging tailored for payer stakeholders in priority markets.
  • Partner with commercial and regional teams to develop materials for insurers and HMOs to expand private access channels.
  • Support in refining access strategies for key markets (LATAM, APAC, India, China), focusing on vaccine access hurdles, pricing strategies, and government/payer funding pathways.
  • Actively monitor trends and literature, advising global and LOC teams on strategic implications.
  • Support market access plan development through insights generation (market research, payer advisory boards, LOC surveys) and strategic adjustments based on market changes.
  • Assist LOCs with vaccine tender and formulary submissions, providing materials for value propositions and budget impact assessments.
  • Champion market access as a key partner in public affairs, policy, and communications to align activities addressing access hurdles.
  • Enhance market access representation in internal committees and cross-functional groups, embedding a public access/NIP mindset focused on payer perspectives, pricing, and value integration into organizational plans.
