Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in accounting
  • Minimum 8 years working experience in the tax team of a large corporation or global public accounting firm
  • Strong US accounting skills, knowledge of US corporate income tax accounting and principles and awareness of global minimum tax
  • Strong analytical and research skills, and ability to use technology effectively to operate tax processes
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and progress numerous actions in a coordinated and organized manner
  • Effective process management and delegation skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operation of the end-to-end processes required to align with our legal requirements and necessary business outcomes, working with colleagues in our IT, transactional finance and reporting finance teams
  • Understand the new rules as they are enacted in UK and in the rest of the world
  • Understand the role of safe harbours and define process to ensure we can rely upon this where relevant
  • Design and operate processes to capture new data points as required in the regime
  • Operate processes to demonstrate compliance for our group interim and year-end reporting processes
  • Work with our outsource provider to prepare global minimum tax calculations for our US and other territories
  • Embed process for continuous improvements
  • Support the wider business with the Global Minimum Tax impact of transactions
  • Be responsible for the global minimum tax compliance process, including ensuring that the appropriate calculations are performed and disclosed on information returns on a timely and accurate basis
  • Work with advisors to ensure that local requirements are met
  • Be responsible for operating the group interim and year-end tax reporting process to quantify the potential global minimum tax liability, contributing to potential disclosure requirements
  • Work with advisors and colleagues to monitor international tax developments, model effects and assess their impact on the global minimum tax processes and our underlying tax landscape
  • Support wider tax operations team on key processes and projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA license or post-graduate study in Taxation
  • Experience supporting a global company
  • Global Minimum Tax experience
