Requirements
- University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
- Formal management experience of 10 or more employees for a minimum of two years
- Experience presenting program and technical issues to senior stakeholders
- Experience managing project or program cost, schedule and risk or experience with Earned Value Management, Risk & Opportunity, IMS or IMP tools
- Experience with aligning workload forecasting to staffing
- Experience with government standards and processes, such as described in EIA-649, Configuration Management Standard.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for departments technical maturity and compliance with procedures/policies
- Ensure successful department execution to cost and schedule requirements including risk and opportunity management.
- Effectively partner with programs to ensure successful configuration management direction and foster a positive relationship
- Ensure effective growth of employees through performance/career development discussions, including plans for employee improvement, coaching and mentoring.
- Direct team members in industrial and process evaluation, improvement, and/or reengineering in support of Operations and Engineering activities.
- Support program milestones and contribute to successful reviews and customer interchanges.
- Generating/reviewing/approving Hardware Engineering bids
- Participating in engineering program reviews
- Review and approval of quarterly Estimate at Complete (EAC) reviews.
- Create innovative solutions for customers and company initiatives.
- Recognize and provide appropriate team and individual rewards and recognition.
Preferred Qualifications
- Collaborate effectively with all levels of management and peers.
- Experience with Windchill or related Product Data Management (PDM) tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills to ensure data integrity and compliance with configuration management policies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop and present technical briefings to Leadership.
- Experience with project planning.
- Identify potential complex problems associated with technical engineering data, regarding configuration management issues, and take corrective action as needed.
