Requirements

  • A PhD or PsyD in Psychology, EdD, or MSW with LICSW licensure in Massachusetts.
  • 5–8 years of clinical experience in college or university counseling centers.
  • At least 3 years of experience in supervision, leadership, or team management.
  • A strong commitment to equity and anti-oppressive practice—and a track record of serving students from historically marginalized communities.
  • A warm, team-oriented approach and genuine enthusiasm for being visible and involved on campus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor clinical staff and trainees; provide clinical oversight and ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-informed counseling services.
  • Deliver short-term, solution-focused individual therapy, crisis intervention, and group counseling as needed.
  • Oversee and consult on complex or high-acuity cases, ensuring timely and appropriate care.
  • Work closely with departments including the Dean of Students, Community Living, and Public Safety to ensure holistic student support.
  • Partner with the Director to develop innovative programming and outreach aligned with student needs and national best practices.
  • Lead in-service trainings, facilitate seminars, and offer clinical expertise to the BCC team and broader university staff.
  • Support our mission to be a multicultural, affirming center that actively engages with issues of social justice and student identity.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and provide flexible support during peak campus periods.
