Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Design, Fine Art or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Denim, Non-Denim washed product
  • Computer design system skills including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience in CAD illustration or 2D/3D software
  • Experience in wash concept, development, and wash review/comments
  • Knowledge of textiles, denim garment construction/fit
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience working in a retail or product development environment
  • Ability to build relationships to successfully work in a team environment
  • Ability to respond to business objectives with creative, innovative and cost-effective design solutions

Responsibilities

  • Support and drive concepts throughout the development process, research, selection of materials, washes, and the creation of silhouettes/form language
  • Translate ideas for product direction using CAD/hand sketches, preparing professional presentation boards with illustrations, CAD artwork, fabrication, and material samples
  • Work with an assigned category, brand, business, or guest segment and manage your own process and calendar
  • Maintain timely communication with internal and external partners
  • Build brand cohesion by partnering with peers across the division to ensure continuity
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve product issues in collaboration with technical designers/engineers and sourcing partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in shared Design tools like Miro board, Canva or similar is a plus
  • Experience or interest in sustainability, circular design, and eco-friendly washing
  • Commercial sense, market knowledge, ability to research and apply market/trend information
  • Experience assimilating product feedback
