Associate Designer – Denim-Universal Thread – Hybrid

Four-year degree in Design, Fine Art or related field, or equivalent experience
2+ years of relevant experience in Denim, Non-Denim washed product
Computer design system skills including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
Experience in CAD illustration or 2D/3D software
Experience in wash concept, development, and wash review/comments
Knowledge of textiles, denim garment construction/fit
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience working in a retail or product development environment
Ability to build relationships to successfully work in a team environment
Ability to respond to business objectives with creative, innovative and cost-effective design solutions

Support and drive concepts throughout the development process, research, selection of materials, washes, and the creation of silhouettes/form language
Translate ideas for product direction using CAD/hand sketches, preparing professional presentation boards with illustrations, CAD artwork, fabrication, and material samples
Work with an assigned category, brand, business, or guest segment and manage your own process and calendar
Maintain timely communication with internal and external partners
Build brand cohesion by partnering with peers across the division to ensure continuity
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve product issues in collaboration with technical designers/engineers and sourcing partners

Experience in shared Design tools like Miro board, Canva or similar is a plus
Experience or interest in sustainability, circular design, and eco-friendly washing
Commercial sense, market knowledge, ability to research and apply market/trend information
Experience assimilating product feedback
