Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or related field
- 0-2 years of professional design experience (internships and relevant coursework count)
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking and visual design skills
- Proficiency in modern design tools, particularly Figma
- Understanding of design fundamentals: typography, color, layout, and visual hierarchy
- Basic knowledge of user experience principles and design thinking methodology
- Familiarity with prototyping tools and interactive design concepts
- Understanding of web and mobile design best practices
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS (preferred but not required)
- Strong visual design skills with attention to detail
- Ability to create clean, intuitive user interfaces
- Understanding of responsive design principles
- Basic wireframing and prototyping abilities
- Eagerness to learn complex workflow design and data visualization
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities
- Create high-quality visual designs, wireframes, and prototypes under guidance from senior designers
- Contribute to user interface design for web and mobile applications
- Learn and apply design system components and patterns consistently across projects
- Participate in design critiques and incorporate feedback to improve design quality
- Support the creation and maintenance of design documentation and specifications
- Participate in user research activities and usability testing sessions
- Learn to translate user insights and feedback into design improvements
- Develop understanding of financial advisor workflows and user needs
- Contribute to persona development and user journey mapping
- Observe and learn from user interviews and research sessions
- Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and constraints
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure design feasibility and quality implementation
- Participate in sprint planning, standups, and other agile ceremonies
- Communicate design decisions clearly to stakeholders
- Learn to advocate for user needs in product discussions
- Learn and apply the AssetMark design system across all design work
- Contribute to design system documentation and component library
- Ensure consistency in visual design and interaction patterns
- Help identify opportunities for new design system components
- Maintain design files and assets in organized, accessible formats
- Actively seek feedback and mentorship from senior team members
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices
- Participate in design team learning sessions and skill-building activities
- Contribute to team discussions about design process and methodology
- Build expertise in financial services and wealth management domain
