Requirements

  • Typically between 4 – 6 years of relevant experience within engineering, accounting, corporate/project finance or 3+ years of investment banking or valuation experience at a financial analyst level in a client facing role.
  • An undergraduate degree with academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting and an outstanding academic achievement.
  • Knowledge of capital markets and investment banking products.
  • Credit analysis experience / understanding.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members, other groups, and clients.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several projects and tasks in an organized manner.
  • Superior analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Highly effective written and oral communication skills, with an ability to provide relevant ideas and opinions to generate recommendations to clients.
  • Demonstrated interest in working in capital markets and/or infrastructure role.
  • Demonstrates solid deal/transaction execution and/or project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage complex financial models used for project financings and P3 bidding processes.
  • Maintain a current understanding of infrastructure project pipeline and debt capital markets.
  • Develop expertise with rating agency methodologies and associated qualitative and quantitative credit analyses.
  • Develop familiarity with debt documentation and structures.
  • Update P3 projects and debt capital market databases.
  • Assisting on written presentations, RFP write-ups, and pitch material for clients.
  • Perform financial analysis for client coverage activities and internal updates on debt capital markets.
  • Work with other investment banking product and industry coverage group on transactions involving infrastructure, project finance, or investment grade debt issuances.
  • Participates in deal teams to develop, present, and win mandates for new opportunities.
  • Creates pitch books for clients with respect to financial solutions and participate in their presentation to clients.
  • Provides direction and feedback to Analysts; accountable for development and mentoring of Analysts and Co-Op students.
  • Delivers financial modeling to support strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Considers risk, internal controls and compliance as part of day-to-day accountabilities and adheres to policies and procedures.
  • Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA degree preferred.
  • Exceptional skills in quantitative analytics, financial modeling and credit analysis skills; VBA is preferred but not mandatory.
