Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering with focus on Geotechnical Engineering, MS is preferred.
- Professional Engineering license in the State of Oregon.
- Familiarity with geotechnical analysis software including Rocscience suite, Shoring Suite or similar programs.
- Strong communication (both oral and written), analytical and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage a number of concurrent assignments and priorities and supervise junior staff.
- Willingness to travel to support projects within the Pacific Northwest.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead teams for geotechnical projects.
- Manage and coordinate geotechnical exploration programs.
- Perform and provide senior review of geotechnical engineering analyses and calculations for foundations, retaining structures, landslide and slope stability, ground improvement, liquefaction, lateral spreading, seismic evaluations, and trenchless construction.
- Prepare technical reports and other documents.
- Development of construction drawings and specifications for underground infrastructure.
- Participate in business development activities, interviews, and presentations.
- Provide technical leadership to junior staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: geotechnical engineering, excavation support design, tunneling, or trenchless technologies.
