Requirements

Responsibilities
- Prevent and resolve incidents in the Barclays’ UNIX infrastructure
- Administer, test, and implement various scale changes within the UNIX environment and databases
- Monitor UNIX environment, coordinate system development, and determine project scope and limitations
- Specify users, develop software guidelines, review database procedures, and monitor database performance
- Modify existing UNIX infrastructure and management systems to transform UNIX function
- Review project requests from users, estimate time and cost required
- Partner with fellow UNIX engineers to develop automation tooling and methods for product integration
- Analyze user access related tasks and queries, train users, and provide technical support for clients
- Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure
- Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing cloud networks for Barclays’ Application Platform as a Service (aPaaS) Cloud team
